Theo and Cat did their engagement session in downtown Sacramento. We started under the big trees in Capitol Park, walked up to the State Capitol and then went looking for murals.
Sacramento is full of them, and they make great backdrops. Bold color, a lot of personality and nothing like a forest or a beach.

Start in the park.
Capitol Park has huge old trees and a lot of shade. It is an easy place to start, with soft light and room to walk.
The Capitol · Downtown
Up to the Capitol.
Then we walked up to the California State Capitol. White columns and a whole lot of history. It looks classic and it is right in the middle of everything.
The murals · Color
Then we went mural hunting.
We finished in front of some of the murals downtown. Bright, big and a little wild. A city session should look like the city, and Sacramento has a lot of color.
