Divya and Sai did their engagement session on Eagle Rock on Lake Tahoe's West Shore. It's a short climb up to a volcanic rock outcrop with the lake spread out underneath.
The clouds rolled in and made it moody and dramatic. Exactly what you want on top of a rock.

From the first few minutes the lake was right there. Blue water, mountains on the far shore and the two of them on the rock.

Eagle Rock has pines growing right out of the rock. We used them to frame the lake and to give the two of them somewhere to wander.

Up on top of the rock.
At the top it is dark volcanic rock, big sky and the whole lake below. With the clouds moving in it felt like the edge of the world. Divya's dress didn't hurt either.

Where is Eagle Rock at Lake Tahoe?
Eagle Rock is a volcanic rock outcrop on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, off Highway 89 near Homewood. A short hike takes you to the top, with views over the lake.
Is Eagle Rock good for engagement photos?
Yes. It's one of the easiest big views on the lake. You get dark rock, pines and Lake Tahoe below you without a long hike.
What should we wear for engagement photos on Eagle Rock?
Shoes with grip for the climb, and a layer because it can be windy on top. A long dress looks amazing up there. Just bring shoes to hike up in and change at the top.
What if it's cloudy for our Lake Tahoe engagement session?
Cloudy can be great. Divya and Sai had moody clouds and it made the session. Soft light, dramatic sky and the lake still looks amazing.
