Gold Hill Gardens is a 38-acre estate in Newcastle, California, about 30 minutes northeast of Sacramento off I-80. Eleven acres of manicured gardens, a tented reception area, a pool, onsite lodging for the wedding party, and rolling foothills in every direction. It sits along the Placer Wine and Ale Trail. The Sierra Nevada foothills are the backdrop.
I have photographed weddings here. The property is well maintained and the light in the gardens in the late afternoon is genuinely good. Multiple ceremony locations on the grounds, so the day has room to breathe. It is a full-service venue with vetted vendors and a coordinator on site.
