Dancing Pines is a total gem. Tucked along the Little Truckee River near Sierraville, it is all tall pines, rushing water, and a big open lawn that feels private without feeling remote.
You get that classic Sierra look with an easy, natural flow. River side ceremony vibes, then cocktail hour on the patio, then dinner and dancing out on the lawn with bistro lights and an oak dance floor. It looks good without trying too hard.
Golden hour here is money. I have a go to spot I take couples that opens up into these sweeping Sierra views, then we dip back down to the river for a totally different feel in the same ten minutes. The trees give you clean shade when the sun is high, and once it drops, the whole place turns warm and glowy.
