Ryan
& Chloe
Ryan and Chloe’s High Camp wedding at Palisades Tahoe was everything a mountaintop wedding should be. Married at 8,200 feet with Lake Tahoe stretching out behind them, the summer golden hour showed up in a big way. As a Palisades Tahoe wedding photographer, I’ve shot High Camp in every season and this one ranks among the best.
The Venue
High Camp sits at 8,200 feet inside Palisades Tahoe, accessible only by aerial tram. The views are unreal: 360 degrees of Lake Tahoe, alpine peaks, and wide open sky.
The tram ride alone is a moment. Guests arrive already in awe before a single vow has been spoken. There is no other wedding venue in California quite like it.
The Light
The golden hour light at this elevation hits different. Warm, soft, and absolutely perfect for portraits. We caught that epic glow right after the ceremony and carried it all the way through.
Wide open Sierra views, big sky, and that expansive Palisades Tahoe backdrop. I know exactly when and where to be at High Camp to make the most of the mountain light.
“Wide open Sierra views, big sky, and that expansive Palisades Tahoe backdrop that would make your mother blush.”— Wade Snider, Palisades Tahoe Wedding Photographer
The Reception
After vows at 8,200 feet, guests soaked in the views of the Palisades for cocktail hour. The reception turned into a full on party and a dance floor that never cooled off. Palisades Tahoe weddings at High Camp prove you can have both the adventure and the celebration. Ryan and Chloe continued the afterparty at The Dubliner, the Village’s ultimate late night. This gallery captures it all from ceremony through reception.

SUMMER 2024
Ryan and Chloe’s Palisades Tahoe wedding at High Camp was equal parts adventurous, romantic, and breathtaking. Married at 8,200 feet in the Sierra Mountains, the summer golden hour absolutely showed up. There are good sunsets and bad sunsets and this one was a good one. A good day. A great wedding.
