The whole day happened in one backyard. Ceremony, dinner and dancing, all under the trees with an amazing view and string lights over the tables.

The smoke · Fall in Truckee
Fire smoke filled the air that day and everyone was worried. Here is the thing about smoke: as long as the fire is not too close, it makes for great photos. It evens out the light and softens everything, and the wedding went on just like they planned.
Looking back at these photos, the smoke is part of the story. It worked out great.
Marie · The nerves
Marie was very nervous going in. You could feel it, and so could everyone around her. There was a lot of emotion in the air, on both sides of the aisle.
Marie · The rest of the day
Once the ceremony started the nerves went away. Marie ended up smiling the whole day, from the aisle to the last dance.

Still have a plan B: watch air quality in the days before, have a covered or indoor option if you can, and keep extra water around for older guests. Taylor and Marie had smoke all day and it worked out great.
