Teagan and Mike got married at Wailea Beach Resort in Wailea. Close family only. They did a first look the day before to take the edge off, then took a sunset sail that evening. By the time the ceremony came around they were completely relaxed. It shows.
THE VENUE

Wailea Beach Resort is a Marriott property on the southwest coast of Maui. Twenty-two oceanfront acres above Wailea Bay. Multiple ceremony spaces including a rooftop terrace, lawn sites facing the Pacific, and smaller spots for intimate ceremonies. On a clear day you can see the neighboring islands across the channel.
The southwest coast of Maui gets more consistent sun than anywhere else on the island. The ceremony lawns face west. Sunset portraits happen naturally. You are not fighting anything.
THE DAY

They did a first look the day before. Smart. By the time the ceremony arrived they were not nervous. They were just there. Two people getting married on one of the best stretches of coast in the Pacific with the people they actually wanted around them.

Wailea is the sunniest part of Maui. Golden hour is long and consistent. The light comes in warm off the water. The ceremony lawns at Wailea Beach Resort face west so the light hits them directly in the last hour of the day. You do not have to go looking for it.
