Before High Camp, Valhalla.
Derek and Jack did their engagement session at Valhalla, the historic estate on the south shore of Lake Tahoe. Old wood buildings, big pines and the lake right there.
Later they got married at High Camp at Palisades Tahoe, and I shot that too. This was the warm up.

Starting in the flowers.
We started on a stone step surrounded by flowers. Bright color right up front and the old estate behind them.
The buildings · Old wood
Old wood and big doors.
The buildings at Valhalla are dark, weathered wood with heavy doors and iron lanterns. They have a ton of character, and they make a great frame for two people in blue suits.
The pines · Forest
Into the pines.
Then we walked into the forest. Tall pines, soft light on the ground and a lot of room to just walk and talk.
The cabin · Front porch
Finish on the porch.
We ended on the porch of one of the old cabins. Log walls, green trim and the two of them sitting on the front steps like they owned the place.
