Silverthorn Meadows is at 3099 North Canyon Road in Camino, in El Dorado County on the Apple Hill trail. A small family-owned farm and wedding venue run by Alita and Denny. Gardens, a pond with a waterfall and a bridge, a giant red maple that anchors the lawn, a chandelier tent, a bridal suite, a glamping tent for the wedding party, and a rowboat for portraits on the water. They do a limited number of weddings each year and book out far in advance.
The property is yours from Friday through Sunday. You can set up the day before, enjoy the whole wedding day without rushing out, and clean up the day after. That format makes a real difference in how the day feels.

PHOTOGRAPHER'S TAKE
The pond is the center of the property and it works well for portraits. There is a bridge over the water and a rowboat available for pre-ceremony shots. The giant red maple on the lawn is one of those details that shows up in every photo and earns its keep. In September and October when the leaves turn it is one of the better backdrops in the area.
The weekend format is what couples talk about most. You get the property from Friday through Sunday. Set up the day before, have your wedding, clean up after. Nobody is rushed out at midnight. The owners Alita and Denny are on site and run the day well. That matters.
One practical thing to know: guest parking is off site and the venue runs a shuttle down. Make sure your guests know this ahead of time and build buffer into your timeline for the first few loads arriving. It is not a problem when everyone is prepared for it.
