Katie and Drew’s Skylandia wedding started with a little rain scare, as most of my Skylandia weddings do for some reason. These weddings are the reason I look at Doppler radar. Katie asked me to shoot her wedding after exchanging wedding leads with me for years. I even helped Drew and her pick the location for the ceremony spot, although the cloud coverage negated the direction needed for the best lighting. All the guests knew one another, from being close friends in Tahoe, extremely tied to the outdoor and skiing worlds. The ceremony went off without a hitch. It only rained for a moment during cocktail hour, and the sun showed up through some amazing clouds and a killer sunset. If you’re getting married at Skylandia, or in the Spring, let me know.
